Success Story: A Game Changer

I was working as a consultant for an oil and gas company that was having trouble with Take-in-kind volumes. The company was using an application that couldn't handle these volumes, and they were struggling to keep track of their production and marketing data.
When I was called in to help, I knew that I had my work cut out for me. Take-in-kind volumes are notoriously difficult to manage, and I would need to bring all of my experience and knowledge to the table to create a solution.
After some research and experimentation, I decided to create an Excel workbook that would allow the company to easily split their production volumes based on their marketed party percentages. This would create production volume records that would distinguish between the volumes that the company would be paid for and those that were TIK.
The workbook was very easy to use. The client could simply drop in their statements provided by the purchaser's and click the buttons in the Excel workbook to generate their import templates. This solution was a game-changer for the company, as they had never been able to manage their TIK volumes before.
I was thrilled to see that the solution I had created was not only successful for the client, but it had never existed before in the industry. A top oil and gas operator is using it today, which makes me proud to have been a part of its creation.
Working on this project taught me that sometimes the most successful solutions are the ones that require the most experience and knowledge. It's important to always keep learning and pushing yourself to create something new and innovative, as you never know how it could impact the industry as a whole.
